Most contractors choose Complete Marine Permit Management because it removes professional procurement, coordination, package assembly and agency follow-up from their staff entirely. Start with a Free Permit Readiness Review — it is Stage 1 of the same process.

Complete Marine Permit Management

Best for: Contractors who want permitting fully off their desk.

Our recommended service. Tideway procures, contracts with and manages the professional team directly — survey, engineering and environmental — alongside the entire permit workflow. One agreement, one point of contact, one accountable party from first site review to approved permit in hand.

Permit Management

Best for: Contractors with trusted surveyor, engineer or consultant relationships.

You keep your own professionals; Tideway runs everything else. We confirm requirements, define what each professional must deliver, assemble and quality-check the package, submit to every agency, track review and manage comments and resubmittals through approval. Your relationships stay yours — the coordination burden becomes ours.

Free Permit Readiness Review

Best for: Any project, before commitments are made — and Stage 1 of Complete Management.

A free, structured look at a specific property and scope. We identify the agencies likely involved, the professional work the project will need (survey, engineering, environmental), the documents required, early red flags and a realistic timeline expectation. It is the first stage of Complete Marine Permit Management — and a clear roadmap you keep whether or not you continue with us.

Transparent cost-plus pricing

Survey, engineering and environmental services are competitively procured under clearly defined scopes and billed on a transparent cost-plus basis. Tideway’s managed-service premium covers professional procurement, scheduling, coordination, quality control and accountability. Government fees are billed separately at actual cost. All scope, estimated costs and payment milestones are approved before work begins.

Every proposal shows you, line by line:

  • The managed professional-services amount for your project
  • Tideway’s administration fee
  • Government fees, billed separately at actual cost
  • The payment schedule tied to project milestones

How payment works

Payments are tied to clear milestones, so funding always follows progress on your project.

Payment 1

Launch the professional work

Fund the initial survey, engineering and environmental work so procurement and scheduling can begin.

Payment 2

Submit the permit package

When professional deliverables are complete, fund their remaining balances and the government fees required to file with each agency.

Payment 3

Receive the approved package

After approval, complete the final Tideway payment to receive the approved permit package and closeout documents.

Prefer the homeowner to fund the work directly? A contractor can authorize the homeowner to fund milestones as a homeowner-sponsored project — while the contractor keeps control of the construction relationship.
